How to Use Our Website
Whether you are new to the internet or an experienced user, the following will explain how to use our website in three stages; Finding an Item, Your Shopping Basket and Checkout and Payment.
1: Finding an Item.
There are different ways to find the item you are looking for;
Browse Departments: On the left of the page is our full department menu including "What's New". By clicking one of these, you will be taken to that department. You can then click through all the products shown on all the pages. Alternatively and, to narrow your search down, you have a further choice of sub-departments. These are written along the top in blue. Click a sub-department to be taken there and then use "Displaying Items" to click through all the products available in that department.
Find by Search: You can use the search box at the top right of the page. Either enter a search term or, if you have one of our catalogues, you can enter the product code here. The results are shown for you to browse.
Find by Brand: By clicking on the company logos on the right of the page you can view products by that particular brand name. Alternatively, type the brand name into the search box.
Browse Promotions: Check out promotions, seasonal offers and our top sellers by clicking on the appropriate buttons around the outside of the page. Some of these change randomly as you click between pages so watch out for those bargains!
Don't forget our website is being developed daily. If you can't find what you want it doesn't necessarily mean we haven't got it. Click the "Can't Find It?" button on the bottom right for more help.
2: Your Shopping Basket.
To add an item to your shopping basket, select size or colour (if appropriate) from the drop down menu and click on the word "Buy" under the product description box and click 'OK' when prompted. A summary of the contents of your shopping basket can be seen on the left under the department menu.
When you have finished shopping, click on the word "Checkout" to check the contents of your basket in full. The quantity, description and an image are shown.
Alter the quantity required (if appropriate) and click on the "Recalculate Total" button at the bottom left of the page. If you wish to remove an item from the basket, tick the "Delete" box for that item and then "Recalculate Total" again.
Select the correct shipping destination, (UK Mainland or UK Offshore/Remote) your order may be delayed if entered incorrectly. Check delivery information for further details.
If you wish to continue shopping, click on the "Resume Shopping" button. Don't forget deliveries to UK Mainland are free if you spend over £40.00 (see details on Delivery Info. page).
3: Checkout and Payment.
Got everything you need? Click on the "Proceed" button and follow the steps to complete and process your order by entering your credit cardholder (no numbers at this stage) and the delivery address details and click on the "Place Order" button.
You will then be asked to "Confirm Order" in respect of the credit cardholder details and the delivery address.
Once confirmed, you will then be taken to a secure transaction site called Protx for further card details (including card number) and security checks. Enter the required details and click "Proceed".
It is at this point that your order is sent to our Stoke-on-Trent office for processing. You will receive a standard confirmation email automatically (some spam filters don't allow this unless set to receive) which will show your unique order reference number.
