MATERIALS AND DESIGN:
Designed to blend into your garden, the range of garden PlayCentres incorporate selected top grade pine (from managed European forests) and as few man-made materials as possible. The seasoned timber is machined and finished to within 1mm tolerances before drilling all fixing holes and nut recesses. The no-quibble 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestations is a reflection of the pressure treatment that is applied, forcing preservatives deep into the heart of the wood. Safety is at the heart of the design specification, with substantial timber sections used for the frames and swing arm, and strong railings around the platforms.
All units reflect a combination of high quality and value for money. Every model includes a minimum of a green wavy slide, substantial climbing frame and play platform, at least two swings, a roof and (apart from the Carreg) a commando net. No compulsory add-ons and extras have to be purchased. Included are all necessary fittings, fasteners, ropes, detailed set of assembly instructions, even a driII bit for preparing screw holes. Thought has been put into how your unit will look in the garden. fitting wooden roots to the Monmouth PlayCentre and Arundel single and twin PlayCentres, and attractive plastic roofs with the Carreg and York. All ropes are soft synthetic flexrope which looks identical to natural rope but without degradation in the weather. Galvanised swing hangers bolt through the swing arms, not on a ring around the beam.

INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY:
Before purchasing or installing your PlayCentre measure your garden and perhaps lay out markers or pegs. In particular give attention to obstacles or dangers such as clothes lines, concrete steps. paths and patios, trees, fence posts and garden sheds (glass windows). A reasonable amount of space should always be left for safety and access.
All sections come flat-packed in manageable components. BEFORE SIGNING for your delivery please check that you receive ALL the components necessary to make up your PlayCentre, that none of the packages are damaged or open Packages are labelled 1/9, 2/9 etc for easy checking. Sign "damaged" or "missing' if there is any discrepancy.

PlayCentres are large units, and though it is not impossible for one person to assemble on their own, we recommend two or more people. You may also find it easier to make up the tower component before setting it into the ground.

NOTE: Wood is a natural product, and as such is subject to the influence of the moisture content of the air and ground. Sometimes cracks or splits may appear, but this will not result in weakening of structural stability. Such cracks and splits are more common in round section timber, just another of the reasons we prefer machined rectangular-section timber. As part of environmental and health protection we do not use arsenic or chromium salts (as are frequently used in some products) when pressure-treating any of our timber
