The Cornish slate house signs, and house numbers can if required, be supplied with 'blind' fixing holes, so that they are invisible from the front of the sign. The fixing holes are drilled only part way through the back of the slate and 2 stainless steel dowels (supplied) are attached into the holes in the back of the sign, using a good masonry adhesive (obtainable from builders merchants etc).
2 corresponding holes need to be drilled in the wall, and again using the masonry adhesive the sign can be attached invisibly to the wall. A certain degree of skill may be required to fix your sign by this method.

The wood is sourced from local managed, sustainable forests.. (mainly sycamore, which is a very durable hardwood. Each plaque is coated with several coats of superior quality varnish, front and back, to ensure years of life. Fittings and screws are supplied free of charge.
