As the credited suppliers of the flight jackets, and other associated apparel to the blockbuster movie 'Pearl Harbor', we are proud to offer our special edition 'Time Worn' Pearl Harbor A-2. At last, here is a vintage jacket that is truely vintage looking.

Over the years we have been asked by many customers "how can I get my jacket to look worn-in as soon as possible". It's often the dilema for many a jacket buyer, that for an initial period, their jacket is going to look 'spanking new', until it gets that cool looking worn-in appearance.

So when we were approached to make these jackets for the Pearl Harbor movie, with a request that the jackets should look realistically used, we decided to go about making the ultimate 'Time-Worn' A-2.

Particularly, the two male stars of the film - Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett - had to have their jackets made not only to measure, but 'Time-Worn' to perfection to give them the coolest look.

The fashion industry tried to achieve it back in the '80s with what they called 'distressed leather'. This was a process that was artificially applied, which tried to make the leather look worn-in before it was even made into a jacket. It failed miserably, because the hide was subjected to the distressing process over its entire area, and this is not how a jacket naturally wears in - only the high spots receive the most wear.

Our Pearl Harbor A-2s, (there are 2, this the lighter one, in Havana brown - the shade worn by Josh Hartnett - and another in the darker American Walnut brown), like all our leather and sheepskin jackets, are hand-made at our factory in Ivybridge, Devon. They are also broken-in, by hand, using our special time-worn process, just for you. They not only have the burnished patina of a worn jacket, but also all the folds and creases of a garment that looks vintage worn. This doesn't mean to say your jacket will have received excessive wear, absolutely not, it's still brand new, just that it's been initially broken-in and burnished, by hand. You can put this jacket on, and instantly have that vintage, time-worn look that so many of you are looking for - it's like finding an original A-2!

Made from high quality, veg-tanned Steerhide, this leather has that rugged, broken-grain look, that can been seen on so many of those orignal Steerhide A-2s we so dearly love the look of. If you like your A-2 to have that rustic character, just like Josh Harnett, then this is the A-2 for you.

All other features are authentic to the correct wartime USAAF spec, such as: 100% tan cotton lining, authentic Talon zip, 100% worsted wool knit, 100% cotton sewing thread, USAAF spec label, dull nickel collar hook etc.
