The M-387G glove is the winter alternative to the summer version which we also have available here on the site. Issued in conjunction with the sheepskin flying suits such as the M-444, and M445, the M-387G was the standard issue winter glove throughout WWII. As with all US Navy equipment, they are made to a high standard of specification, and thoughtfully designed.
Specificaton
Our reproduction of the M-387G is authentic to every detail of this spec of course:
Leather: Soft and supple, aniline dyed Cape skin Lining: Woven knit, made from silky soft 100% Camel hair Trim: Sheep Shearling to wrist surround Insignia: Silver USN decal to back
As you see from the picture above, our M-387G's also come packaged in an authentic U.S. Navy denim pouch.
Application
This is the perfect companion accessory to any of the US Navy jackets, such as the G-1 and M-422A. The soft Cape Skin leather is supple and comfortable right from the first time you put them on. And the camel hair lining ensures your hands are kept warm. The thoughtful design of combining these two light materials allows a good degree of insulation, whilst maintaining the maximum amount of dexterity - which of course is an essential pilot requirement!
Available in sizes 9 1/2 (XS) - 11 1/2 (XL).
