M-43 Service Shoe

Please CLICK HERE to view larger image and close-ups.

The M-43 Service Shoe is really what we would call today an ankle boot. It was in fact the standard issue combat boot issued to G-Is, standardised in June 1943.

Made from a 'Rough-Out' hide (Rough-Out meaning the hide was turned inside out - leaving the nap side facing outwards, with the top-grain on the inside), the M-43 service shoe superseded the earlier 1939 model service shoe.

The quality and authenticity of these shoes is simply outstanding. These are like unissued dead stock service shoes straight out of WWII - just look at the sole and heel detail - special custom-made rubber mouldings, to the absolute correct pattern, ('Light-Tread' 'Triple Wear'TM), at incredible setting-up costs.

Even the laces are the correct flat brown cotton braid, with a wax sealed finish. There is only one word for these shoes - Stunning!

These are American sized, so they are half a size smaller than UK sizing.

e.g. If you are a UK size 8, then you'll need 8 1/2.

Available in sizes: 7 to 9 1/2 (with half sizes).
