Often, the wearer would personalise his cap, by adorning the crown or peak with a scripted name or insignia device. Some would add character to its look by simply tilting the cap to the side or rear with a turned up peak. The A-3 was synonymous with that unique G.I. look from the 40s. Resurrected from the past, a truly authentic A-3 is once again available. As usual, reproduced to exacting detail. Our A-3 is made to exact U.S.A.A.F. spec. A 10oz 100% HBT cotton in light olive drab is used for the main body of the cap. The skull is constructed in the correct 6 panel configuration, with each seam internally reinforced with white HBT tape. The flexible peak is also reinforced, with 14 rows of stitching. Inside an authentic printed linen spec label is sewn, and a stamped AAF wing & star is applied inside and out.
