Awarded to the Cable Raincoat Co in late 1941 it was made from veg-tanned Horsehide. Located in Boston, this was the Cable Raincoat Company's first of three contracts for A-2 flight jackets . Typical of most of the pre and early war A-2 jackets it was made in a Russet brown shade with a semi-aniline dye finish. Our reproduction is made from our own specially prepared veg-tanned Horsehide - WarHorseŽ - and in the correct colour and finish. We spend an inordinate amount of time and effort with our leather tanneries developing the most authentic specification possible, so your jacket will wear-in just like the originals.
