![]() The Bridge at Remagen follows the exploits of a GI combat unit, during the final weeks of WWII, as they approach the final natural defense of Germany – the Rhine. Based around a factual battle, the characters themselves are fictitious, but the film portrays a very good insight into the toil and agony of front line fighting. George Segal and Ben Gazzara head the cast for the allies, while Robert Vaughan plays the villainous German officer in their opposition. Action packed from beginning to end, and a real must have for any WWII movie collection
