 As well as the legendary Pilot and U-Boat commander Chronographs, Hanhart also produced chronographs for officers and doctors during WWII. Among these was the model entitled 'The Admiral'. These watches have a matt stainless steel case, with a fluted rotating bezel marked in black, and come with an automatic movement, with a silver or black face. They also have the addition of a further 3rd dial, for lapsed hours. And a date counter. The model on this page comes as standard with a Saphire-crystal glass back, through which the movement is visable, and has the black face. These watches continued to be used all the way through the Fifties, by similar personel of the Bundeswehr, as well as for sporting applications in the civilian market.
