| The Deer Study and Resource Centre evolved from the Government 'Community Programme Scheme' which ran from 1983 to 1988, known as the 'Deer Survey'. The project was devised by Jeanette Lawton and was concerned with increasing numbers of deer related 'Road Traffic Accidents' (RTA's) in the north of the County of Staffordshire in the U.K. As part of the project, educational material was developed to assist teachers and the general public and to become more interested and better informed about deer. |

| Elaine Richardson - Membership Secretary
Before joining the Deer Study & Resource Centre Elaine was secretary to a Sales Director at Royal
Doulton. She brings with her a wealth of experience in office life and is innovative in her approach to attracting the attention of people who would not normally be
interested in deer. Elaine's wildlife cross stitch kits, available in our on-line shop, are proving very popular and attracting collectors. Elaine is now a valid and valuable member of our team. |
