MDC are pleased to be able to offer 10% discount to customers placing pre-orders for collection at any of the shows we attend. If you are wanting to take advantage of this tremendous offer then this is how it works...

1. Browse our site, taking note of the products you wish to order (you can always add them to the basket to create a list, however you must not proceed to the checkout stage).

2. Either email, phone or write to us stating your name, the list of products required for collection and the show you wish to collect your order from.

3. When you arrive at our stand at the show we will process your payment and give you your order which will be packed and ready for collection from the minute the show begins.

We aim to automate this process via the website in the near future, we thank you for your patience in the meantime and look forward to meeting you at the shows.

PRICE CHANGES AT MDC

As of today you will notice some of our products have received a small increase in price, something we have held back on for as long as we possibly could but unfortunately the price of packaging, materials, etc has left us with no other option. We are sure that you will still find our products to be of excellent value for money. There have been no changes on postage prices, these will remain the same for the forseeable future.

We would like to wish all of our customers a merry christmas and a happy new year from all @ MDC

A SMALL CHANGE IN OUR SHIPPING PROCEDURE

Due to the recent (and seemingly on-going) postal strikes in the UK we have decided to move the shipping of large orders over to the safe and capable hands of courier services. Whilst this will increase the shipping costs for large orders on our behalf, we can assure you that the delivery prices to you will remain the same, we believe this to be important and well worth the safe knowledge that your packages will actually arrive with you on time and unscathed.

We thank you for your patience on this matter.

THE ARADO IS HERE AND READY FOR ORDERING!

We have finished everything required to release the Arado, you will find it in our store by either following this link, or by navigating to it through the menu system (it's in the MDC Kits and MDC Radu Brinzan departments).

The kit is trully stunning and comes complete with the following;

5 decal sheets
7 photo-etched sheets
Choice of bombs or fuel tanks (both included)
Rato Packs
Cameras
Detailing wire

Due to the complexity of this kit we ask you to be patient in awaiting your order, we will be producing a limited number each week which will be released on a first come, first served basis. The pre-orders of this kit will be fulfilled firstly, any orders made from now on will be fulfilled there-after.

If you have pre-ordered your kit then you will receive an email from us when yours is ready containing your pre-order code and all instructions as to how to get your payment to us (and your kit in the post).

If you are ordering via Paypal there may be a gap of several weeks before your order is shipped though paypal will take your money straight away. Orders by credit or debit card however will not be billed until the day that your order is shipped.

One last thing to note is that the recent postal strikes in Britain means that we will be shipping your orders by secure courier in the UK, all overseas orders will be sent out using international sign-for or Airsure. This kit will also be available at Scale Model World.

WE ARE COMING TO THE NATIONALS

MDC will be attending Scale Model World again, all the usual stuff will be happening and we are offering you the opportunity to pre-order anything from our website for collection at the event.

To get your pre-orders in simply order online as usual or give us a call. Orders placed online for collection at the show will need to have a mention of this somewhere within the comments field of the checkout. Orders made over the phone or via email are to be paid for at the event, all you will need is the name and address given when placing the order so that we can make sure you get the correct order.

Our good friends Radu Brinzan and Franck Oudin will be joining us on the stand to answer any queries you may have regarding anything MDC related.

Just a note to let you know that we will be at the Scottish Nationals show this weekend, with a range of kits, paints and accessories - including the Typhoon...

There is a possibility that we may have a completed model of the Typhoon on display - a sneak preview of a build soon to featured in a major periodial - I make no promises, but here's hoping.

Let's hope we may see you there...

4 January 2006

Happy New Year and Good Health to you all

We’re delighted that the CV32037 Typhoon Kit is producing such excellent feedback, and that modellers are so pleased with it. Although it has taken a long time to complete this, it has been well worth the wait!

Max Zoustatas of Vision Models tells us that, after 40 years as a modeller and selling model kits, he has never seen a more perfect kit. He’s astonished by the quality of the engineering and design as well as the production, and has been telling his modelling friends all about it.

There’s also been a lot of enthusiasm for the kit on the discussion forums on Large Scale Planes, happily.

The Typhoon includes everything you need, but remember, it doesn’t include Rockets, so if you want to do either of the Rocket versions you need to order these as well – the info you need is –
CV32035 : British Late War 3” Rockets – Armour Piercing
CV32036 : British Late War 3” Rockets – High Explosive

The Mr Hobby Metallic paints are working out very well – users report they are finding them fantastically realistic. At the moment we are awaiting delivery of MC212 Iron and MC213 Stainless. In addition we await delivery for B521 Mr Super Clear UV Cut Flat Spray.

28 November 2005

We enjoyed seeing modellers and enthusiasts at the IPMS Scale Modelworld show on 19th & 20th and were delighted to announce the following new items which were available for the first time at this show :

CV32035 : British Late War 3” Rockets – Armour Piercing
CV32036 : British Late War 3” Rockets – High Explosive
CV32037 : Typhoon Kit – this is the full bubble top version that has been a matter of rumour and discussion for some time. I'm afraid some misleading early information has been released about this which has caused some confusion, suggesting that the wings were not included : let me stress here that the wings are included in this kit - this is the FULL Typhoon Kit

Includes Cockpit, Wings, Wheels, Etch Harness and Instrument decals
CV32038 : Typhoon Wing Set : includes wings (of course), undercarriage gear, U/c doors, wheels and lights

And from Warbirds Productions
WB3219 Hurricane Wheel well set – this replaces and improves on WB3201
WB3220 : Hurricane Cockpit – many of you may have followed the development of this item with Radub’s posts in the discussion forums on Large Scale Planes.

Also announcing the launch of the MDC Casting Service, which makes the resin casting skills we’ve developed over the last 10 years available on a sub-contract basis.

30 August 2005

Warbirds Productions have now released, through MDC, the long-awaited WB3218 Hurricane Fabric Wing, with separate flaps : this has received enthusiastic advance reviews on Hyperscale

Upnorth items are now available here for the UK only : we can supply the 1/48 Dassault Mirage decals and the 1/48 Mirage IV scribing set

Latest Accessories include Mr Hobby Weathering Pastels at a very reasonable £7.00.

Recent items that have been well received include D32010 Japanese Instruments - these are so fine that I can't read them even with a magnifying glass (my arms being too short these days), but proper magnification shows the detail is all there - and, as with other instruments sets, can be read and makes sense : E32005 1/32 Rivet maker and E48008 1/48 Rivet Maker - clearly the experience of David Parker (AFV Modeller) has rubbed off on not a few of you ...

The E32006 1/32 Modern French Seatbelt is now available - with the delicate resin buckle.

We're pleased that Derek Bradshaw joins MDC's pattern makers - he's currently working on a 1/32 Luftwaffe Bomb Trolley : incidentally, while our souces for plans of this are good, we're finding it difficult to locate images of this in use, so if you have any ideas for these, we'd be delighted to hear from you

And finally, the MDC Typhoon : I can now report some progress - though we STILL can't offer you a release date, we hope to receive the parts soon and to begin working on pre-production casting. I'll let you know when that happens and as soon as it does, we'll also be getting down to defining the sets that will be released separately, producing instructions and pricing all relevant items. I'll even try to include some pre-release pictures here ... so watch this space.
