Fish Oil is derived from processing of Fish; it is a viscous yellow coloured oil that most horses will readily accept as an ingredient in their ration. Fish Oil is useful for providing a slow release source of energy, and also for promoting a shiny coat all year round. Fish Oil is also reputed to have benefits to joints and mobility.
When and How Should I Feed Fish Oil?
Feed a maximum of 200ml (around 1 mug full) per day. Put the daily amount into the ration and mix well. If your horse gets the ration in more than one meal, split the oil accordingly. Introduce the oil to the diet gradually, and if your horse's droppings become loose, reduce the amount of oil until they become normal again.
