The Stepney Club, the Bluebell Railway's club for children up to eight years old, is now in its 21st year. This is its first publication for everyone to enjoy, unlike the club's magazine Footplate which is for members only.

The ten pictures in this book were drawn by Matthew Cousins and Tony Funnell and first appeared in Footplate. As well as Stepney, other engines are depicted, including the Dukedog and C Class 592. It includes a brief account of Stepney's life and times.
