A Train is For Life |

Pete Waterman is perhaps Britain's most celebrated railway enthusiast who worked briefly as a fireman in his younger days before finding fame and fortune in pop music. He owns some full size engines but his greatest passion is models.
A glance at the cover of this book is deceptive - the illusion is so convincing that this could be King Edward VII but it is a large scale, beautifully detailed model.
The bulk of models shown in the book are of BR, LMS and GWR originals, reflecting the author's partialities. There are a few diesels and some coaches as well. As a paean of praise to the model maker's art, this landscape format book is a treat.
