The Calendar Girls stage show
The Calendar Girls stage show is the fastest selling tour ever. The show has triumphed in London's West End Noël Coward Theatre and now begins a tour across the UK with dates currently scheduled from January to September, and more dates to be added!
The January - April tour stars Lynda Bellingham, Gemma Atkinson, Judith Barker, Hannah Waterman, Letitia Dean and Jan Harvey. The May - July tour stars Anne Charleston, Gemma Craven, Letitia Dean, Charlie Dimmock, Sue Holderness, Hannah Waterman and Dean Gaffney.
The show sees the stars re-enacting the making of the WI alternative calendar by the ladies we now know as the Calendar Girls. The inspiration behind the calendar was John Baker who sadly died of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1998.
Angela Baker has seen the show seven times since it opened in Chichester last September. "Sometimes when I watch it I have to pinch myself to remember that that's my story," says Angela. "I feel so many emotions, it's hard to explain. The show makes you cry one minute and laugh the next, and that's what it was like all along. The actresses are wonderful; I think they feel it in their hearts and that's why the Calendar Girls show is such a success."
