Cover flown and signed by 1976 Patrouille de France + Galland

Signed by team plus WW2 german ace Adolf Galland + USAF ace

A rare and hugely interesting cover carried and flown in one of the French air display teams aircraft during the display they flew at the 1976 RAF Biggin Hill Battle of Britain Air Show.

As can be seen from the pictures it is also clearly signed by every member of the team, but what makes this really special is that it has additionally been signed by Adolf Galland and the American WW2 ace Lt. Col. Robert York. It is also signed by an unidentified person on the back.

Adolf Galland

Possibly the most famous WW2 German ace with 103 confirmed victories and over 700 missions. Flew in the Spanish Civil War, the Battle of Britain and right up until the end of the war. Awarded just about all the top German decorations for bravery, he became great friends after the war with many of the top Allied pilots and died in 1996. Lt Col Robert M York

Flying from the UK in July 1944 with the USAAF, he flew with the American 359th Fighter Group flying P-51 Mustangs. He finished the war with 5.5 victories notably including 3 in one mission over Hanover.

All in all a superb cover with very interesting signatures and history
