The Tri-Fold futon mattresses are suitable for use on traditional 'A' frame futon sofabeds, such as our Doric or Viking, and 2 seat hardwood frames, such as our Celtic or Norman 2 seaters. They are 6-layer futon mattresses, comprising layers of cotton, woolfelt and a central polyester core, and are suitable for general use as a spare bed / seat. If you intend to put your tri-fold mattress to more regular use we would recommend adding an extra layer of woolfelt. You should note that extra felt layers will make the futon harder to fold when it is new.
