When ALFRATROL is burnt, not any smoke and no harmful exhaust gas in relevant quantities are produced. The result of the combustion consists of heat, “steam” and some CO2. Comparison: You are breathing in air and breathing out CO2. The quantity of released CO2 is equivalent to the quantity, which is released when two medium-sized candles are burnt down. In order to provide an appropriate change of air, you just should ventilate the room sufficiently like you are used to do.
How much steam is produced by the combustion? Only as much as if you would have a humidifier in your home.
Are there also designs according to one’s own ideas? With a little bit of craft skills and with our instructions, you can become active yourself by walling in the “FIRE-BOX“ yourself. Doing so, there is almost no limit for you. Details on the assembly are included in delivery.
The fireplaces are transportable? An ALFRA fireplace can be disassembled and set up elsewhere within 5 to 10 minutes. Ideal for any relocation, for every hotel, for offices and many more. Or you set up your ALFRA fireplace in winter in your living room and in mild summer evenings on your terrace or in the open winter garden.
Does an ALFRA fireplace radiate heat? The ALFRA fireplaces were primarily made for making possible the cosy atmosphere and the pleasantly relaxing view of the flames of an open fire in your home. Of course, like with any combustion, the “by-product” heat is produced in the ALFRA fireplaces, too. This radiation of heat, the size of the flames and the consumption can be adjusted through the fire tray.
Do I need an approval from the house owner or from the chimney sweep? ALFRA fireplaces are fireplaces like e.g. fondue, candlesticks, Christmas trees, etc. So they are not subject to the regulation on firing plants and are not subject to approval. However, if you should plan to wall in a “FIRE-BOX” in your rented flat and possibly to carry out major structural activities on this occasion, it would be highly recommendable to discuss it with the house owner in advance.
What do the fireplaces consist of? Varying, depending on the design - of high-quality MDF, AV 100, solid natural wood, high-grade steel polished or brushed, high-quality Blue Pearl granite, Rosso Verona, Jura marble and many more.
What do the logs consist of? The ALFRA logs are made of a special ISO ceramics and so can be used again and again.
What does ALFRATOL consist of? ALFRATOL mainly consists of purest, highly filtrated biological alcohol, which is however mixed with a little bit of bitter constituent and an ALFRA special additive, in order to make it inedible and to generate perfect flame shapes.
What do I get supplied? The delivery of the ALFRA fireplaces includes assembly instructions, safety instructions, the complete fireplace as ordered, lighting hook, funnel tube, measuring cup and ALFRA logs or ALFRA granite for combustion chambers. You can get the fuel ALFRATOL from your specialist dealer.
How difficult is the do-it-yourself construction using the FIRE-BOX? With a little bit of craft skills and with little input of materials, almost any desired fireplace can be set up using the FIRE-BOX. Assembly instructions are included in delivery.
How much are the fuelling costs? A lovely burning fire in your open fireplace does not cost considerably more than firing a conventional open fireplace. And all that without chipping, storing and fetching wood or flying sparks and ashes. The costs of consumables for a cosy evening in front of the fire amount to approximately 2-4 Euro.
Are the ALFRA furniture fireplaces fireproof? The products of ALFRA fire are subject to the general safety regulations and have been tested by TÜV, Trade Supervisory Office and the Regional Trade Institute.
