Online B2B revenues are currently outstripping those of B2C and, by 2020, B2B ecommerce will have a global value of £5.3 trillion, according to a report by Frost & Sullivan.

Despite the opportunity, many companies still don’t sell online or they have an ecommerce presence that is slipping behind the curve, allowing their competitors to seize customers and grab market share.

Here’s the infographic showing you the scale of the B2B ecommerce opportunity.

Research shows that more than half of all companies make major purchases through ecommerce, but less than 22% of B2B companies actually have an ecommerce website. Not only that, but 88% of business executives purchase some business products online and nearly half of them have intended to buy a product, but bought a competing product because it was easier to purchase online elsewhere.

That’s a huge opportunity gap, just waiting to be filled.
